Observation details
At least 30 birds, saw group flying in between waves of pelicans. Smaller size, black on tips of wings only, honking call, audio to follow. Distinguishable from Ross's goose for the following reasons: Number: 30 of them appearing the same size, none stood out as being different. All white phase birds with same appearance. I counted thirty in one line and then studied a few individuals in that line, notably the front three. The Honking call they were giving was consistent with snow goose. It's not terribly obvious on the audio, but it was clean, not raspy. Some notes about the audio: Recorded with merlin, both snow geese and sandhill cranes reported by the app. This audio was recordd while i observed a line of medium -large mostly white birds with black wing tips, small heads relative to the pelicans. Pelicans landed in the water, these geese flew from east to west to an unknown location. The cranes were constantly calling, but I only heard geese for a limited time, and from the same direction in which I was observing them.
