12/09/2023 13:44 70F. Sunny. UCSB campus, Santa Barbara County. Calling near the top of the pine tree.

Observation details

Continuing. Lifer! In the pine trees near the De La Guerra Dining Room Commons. I saw a bird on the top of the pine tree a long distance away. Couldn't ID with the bins, so snapped a photo and realized it was a RECR. Probably immature male. There were possibly three of them altogether. Didn't get great looks, because they were skulking at the tops of the trees. Photos and sound clip attached.
