adult; found while scanning Larus on rocks near shore NW of picnic area; HERG-type appearance, but noticed much larger white tips to outer pp than present on neighboring ad HERG and the pale underside to the left wingtip (we were looking at bird’s right side); bill daintier than that of HERG; eye dark; pix
