Observation details
Showed pictures to Ron Martin. His take, "This is a Long-billed Dowitcher. The bird still retains some juv. plumage with the rufous feather edgings with dark centers, pretty heavy breast markings, and the dark bars on the tail feathers are much thicker than the white bars. Also, the flank barring is pretty heavy, more typical of LBDO." Also, I would note that the tertials are plain gray without tiger stripes - feature of LBDO juveniles.
