Observation details
M and F together, round heads in all postures, deep dish bills, complete black nails, larger than nearby LESC, both were heavily jowled, white in the outer primaries seen as they glided past after being flushed with huge flock of AMWI. Observed via scope in excellent light while birds were on the water; observed with binoculars in the same good light while birds were in the air. Long distance photos while on the water; was approaching for closer photos when hunters started killing ducks resulting in a calamity. 3 AMWI were killed only 2 were collected. There’s a special place for people like this. 90% of the birds did not return after being flushed, including the GRSC.
