Observation details
Weird situation. We were there to photograph Cackling Geese. I had found the big flock and taken a bunch of photos and was leaving as another huge group came in. I took some flight shots of this group and left. Today as I was going through the photos I noticed a bird with a white head tucked up in the corner of the frame. I cropped it and this is the result. I think Snow as the other parent as, while it is small, it looks slightly bulkier and larger than the Cackling Geese and the wings look particularly broad. Also the feet look massive. Ross's x Cackling tend to be slightly smaller than Cackling and have slim wings
