Observation details
Lifer - yay! Many thanks to Bernie and Rolo for pointing the way with such clear directions. Distinctive dark grey & brown A P-Snipe. Female: deep V-shaped white 'harness' band & white eyebrow. Olive & black wing markings. Adult female as has rufous on back of neck. Photos to come. Nowhere near boat ramp or hide. Easiest access is from Hayward Rd, park on dirt road near #25-ish, then cross road and find a way down onto extended verge of Lake Mac, work your way left towards furthest LHS inlet. It was happily feeding in amongst 'stranded' water lilies near PBDs, C-c Jacanas and Teals.
