Observation details
First bird observed when entering the site. Perched in small tree on margin of wetland just south of the parking area (along White-tail Trail). Lighting was poor and wind/snow made it difficult, but got diagnostic photographs. Appears to be an adult bird. Approximately 2 hours later another shrike observation was made (presumably the same bird) about 400 meters west of the first observation perched atop an isolated tree/large shrub in an otherwise open wet meadow north of the amoeba wetland. Better lighting and images obtained.
