Observation details
Our first glimpse of the bird was when it crossed the path by the knoll. I saw it in the thicket but it was fleeting. The second look was in the same area about 45 minutes later. It flew in my bin view while I was scanning the gully area and touched down for a second and then flew further into the thicket again. This time, I saw the bird very clearly. I hurried down the path to get all the people by pavillion and we all searched for the bird. After about 35 minutes, while I was watching the same area, it flew in again and this time started foraging. I quickly called over the 2 remaining birders that stayed around to search, Fletch and Rick, and all 3 of us had really good looks but still difficult to photo because of all the thicket.
