An Amazonian Pygmy-Owl sings (after playback) from high in ridgetop forest as it is being mobbed by Scarlet Tanagers, Yellow-green Vireos, and Swainson’s Thrushes. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
900m on ridgetop, heard, eventually seen courtesy of RAR and some mobbing small birds like vireos and Scarlet Tanagers
