Observation details
Very tame 1st winter still present. Had just drifted out of the inlet. Swimming in mirror calm bay as if it wanted to come ashore on the beach but was deterred by people. After a short while it returned to the inlet. Passing within feet of fishermen at the jetty tip. Both parties seemed totally oblivious. Peering into the water before every dive. The behavior, especially the proximity to humans seems atypical to me and I wondered about its health.
