Observation details
3 adults seen soaring together north of the viewing area. Then, #20 himself soared directly overhead!!!! The oldest living california condor in the wild (currently 43 or 44 years old). One of the final surviving birds that was born in the wild before all remaining 22 (or 23) were captured to begin the captive breeding program. This bird was captured in 1985 and successfully sired over 30 condor chicks that were released into the wild. Then, in 2015, he was released back into the wild. INSANE!!!
