1st winter plumage
Observation details
Originally found by Elliot B. on November 19th (nice find!). It continued with White-crowned and Golden-crowned sparrows along the Nature Trail about 100 yards south of the shelter. ID: The HASP appeared to be in 1st winter plumage with a pink bill, buffy head, salt and pepper crown, a white throat bordered by black malar markings and a black necklace, and a white breast, belly and vent.
