Observation details
Continuing bird found on 11/11 by Shai Mitra and Pat Lindsay. Has returned here for past few seasons. Smaller than adjacent Greater Yellowlegs. Long, straight, two-toned bill with droop at end. Slight/faint flank barring on light gray wash with spots on sides of under tail coverts. Slightly gray flanks paling towards center of throat. Pale center chest. Uniform gray wash to face. Apparent bulge to breast and upper back(not so much when standing with head erect). Gray, chevroned feathers with central black stripe(shaft/rachis?). High tide, standing, often with tucked bill, in water just below belly. Tidal, fresh water stream. Took 2x, saw DJM once and KK there another. I hope they both had good luck!
