Media notes
Held camera and mic in my lap in the kayak pointed toward the sky above the estuary as groups of goldeneyes flew by. A couple hundred birds flew by over the course of the recording. Mic went dead in the end.
Observation details
At least a couple hundred birds flying over the estuary at dusk as they make their evening commute to Hugh Smith Lake. They spend the night on the lake and fly back to saltwater at daybreak. This is a daily occurrence after their arrival.
