Observation details

Was walking the disc golf path while on the phone and noticed a bluebird flying around the willows and realized it had a red breast. Alerted other birders to hopefully get some documentation before it flew away, but as I was watching it realized a second EABL, a female, was also around. Took about 20 minutes until I realized they were actually using a nest box along the path and carry food into it. As they both left I did a quick walk by the next box and heard several chicks from inside. Came back with my own camera and watched them for a while as they continuously entered the nest box with food . Very strange as we have frequented this area quite a lot this summer and have not noticed them until now. Lifer!
