Observation details
Heard the bird singing a beautiful Western Tanager-like song. Merlin said it was Plumbeous Vireo, and there it was. My impression was that the 2-note phrases were less burry than other Vireos. Got good views through bins, but the camera couldn’t find the bird. Gray above with 2 white wingbars, and whitish underside The face was dark gray with prominent whitish eye ring with spectacles. However I did not notice whether there was particular contrast between the gray of the face and white of the neck. There was little evidence of yellow on the underside, which I believed ruled out Cassin's Vireo. Recording submitted as documentation of this rarity.
