I originally IDed this as a Rusty Blackbird (see below) but after interaction with Louis Bevier (who pointed out the curved culmen, large bill, and head contrasting with the back and body), I have changed this to Common Grackle. ~~~~~ Approximately American Robin-sized blackbird (and black bird!). No sheen typical of Common Grackle was seen. Clearly, much smaller than American Crow or Common Raven. Head appeared to be small and round (~1” diameter). Bill appeared smaller and finer than Common Grackle (<<< Wrong!). Entirely black. Yellow iris was faint but visible. No speckling typical of European Starling.
