Observation details
(Harshith JV)First seen a shearwater following a fishing boat ahead of us. When we're following the boat in full speed, the boat ahead of us also sped so much that we couldn't catch up. Then We started scoping the bird on binocular. Just when we're about to give up, I saw it or some float swimming on distant water. Just a fleeting glimpse before hidden behind large swell. Asked the boat driver to continue in same direction. We again gave up but luckily the bird was just sighted close to our boat. From then onwards, the show began. The specimen started actively foraging around the boat. Came close couple of times. We saw all types of athletics the bird could perfom: dipping, running on water, shearing while flying, etc. Amazing time with the bird. It was closely following the boat for atleast 10 minutes(photos times also between 10:45 and 10:55 AM)! After the boat sped up it didn't keep up.
