Observation details
Very rare, appears to be a potential third Pennsylvania record. First spotted/found by Ross, who then promptly alerted the rest of us, then well seen/heard by all for ~5 minutes after. Bird was gleaning in field to the east of pin, at first with the OCWA (leading to some temporary confusion). Juvenile, formative plumage by worn alula and primary coverts. ID points for MacGillivray's over Mourning: Complete hood. All white throat with no hint of yellow. Gray breastband dividing white throat and yellow abdomen. Strong, all white eye arcs, with the top arc being tall and not wide. Rectrices project beyond undertail coverts quite far. Ross Gallardy did get to see this bird!
