Observation details
W at 7:40. First picked this bird up at a quarter mile out where it B lined for shore. It made one close pass, landing on the breach briefly before hovering over our heads and then going back out to sea. Sub adult jaeger with bold black and white striping on underwing and undertail coverts. Two toned upper wing with two boldly white primary shafts. Bird was so close, more shafts appear white but close examination will show that they are slightly darker compared to p9 and p10. Best looks at a LTJA a lake watcher could ask for.
