Media notes
NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 13. Bulk reel: 104 "a) Notes: Song by male and rattles by female. Natural. Quality: 1. Level: 0. Reel #4 [end Reel #3.] b)Notes: after playback. Male now sings as double-phrase song most of time (another bird sings in background.) Female rattles in foreground while flying back and forth. Gradually the song becomes more "normal". It was found that both the male and female give both the song and rattle. The female's song, which may be due to excitement of playback is somewhat simpler and weaker than that of male. Unfortunately, I didn't succeed in recording any directly, altho some may appear on this tape. Pair collected. Quality: 1. Level: 0. Response to playback: Different song.
