Observation details
(40.6612790, -73.9726079) first seen here at 1:30. Jeremy and I saw it fly from the ground onto this tree branch next to ball field 4. I knew it was special but my mind didn’t think Henslow's right away. But then as we kept looking and trying to take phone + binoculars photos Jeremy said “what about a Henslow’s?” Then it all clicked, but I couldn’t help but doubt since it’s so rare. It unfortunately was flushed a few times by the park traffic so it was unseen for a while. During that time I was able to look at guides and go over the photos to make sure that what we had just seen was the Henslow’s. It was re-found by Jeremy on the same tree at around 3pm then it flew to the ground and remained there foraging for a couple hours.
