notice the short buzzed chip note at the end of the full song; we confirmed that the bird in question was actually singing this song by watching it sing through optics on several occasions
Observation details
Continuing from previous years. Apparently, this bird has changed its song compared to previous years when it sang similarly to Prairie Warbler. Song given very similar to Field Sparrow in overall cadence and individual note quality. I do not hear much similarity to Prairie Warbler song in this particular recording. This observation represents the first report of 2017. Chestnut mantle stripes seen well.
