Observation details
Seems to have head pattern like ring-necked pheasant but overall coloration like that of green pheasant. Maybe some melanism going on as well. I saw a melanistic female ring-necked pheasant near this location this past winter. Bruce Fall found 'Tenebrosus Pheasant' variant (of ring-necked pheasant) which seems to match very well to this bird.
