Observation details
A very good number this year at this location. Exact count. Counted by 1s. Details of plumage were noted to differentiate from the Lincoln's and Song Sparrows. The breast streaking and head are quite different from that of Song Sparrows. Their behavior is also different from a Song Sparrow. The call note is nothing like a Song Sparrow and is actually most similar to the Leconte's Sparrow, but still easily distinguishable from Leconte's Sparrow by voice with practice. Photo.
