Media notes
Identification based mainly on Merlin sound ID app. The bird was flying quickly from tree to tree in the mid-canopy, presumably being a fledgling.
Observation details
Bird was flying quickly from tree to tree about 10-20 feet up, calling constantly. I finally saw it well enough to call it a short-tailed warbler. The Merlin sound ID app consistently called the calls Common Yellowthroat, which is the main basis for my identification. It must have been a recent fledgling based on its behavior. It was in a swampy area that could be habitat for yellowthroats, but I've never seen one flying from tree to tree like this.
