Observation details
This is the second one in the yard this season, the first was merely a glimpse. This one came to feed in the young but growing bottlebrush. Small yellowish oriole with two whitish wingbars. Tail was short and squarish, there was some graduation but minor. One photo shows the tail well. The bill was short and in this bird thick, but the curve was only at the tip, without the longer more evenly curved look of a Hooded Oriole bill. I think the brightness of the yellow also was typical of Orchard, more than the norm for Hooded.
