Observation details

New county bird!!!! Super surprised, I had just entered the burn area and all of a sudden I hear an unfamiliar woodpecker. I scope it from afar and to my amazement it is a Black-backed! It then flies over me and lands just uphill from the car. I walk up and find not one but two. One was very cooperative at eye level foraging! When I left they were around here (47.7697168, -114.0007694).
