Observation details
Both with a PAJA. Size and structure differences striking enough that we considered POJA for the accompanying PAJA, but too many rufous highlights above and below. LTJA obviously smaller, more slight build, almost frail looking in the gusty winds and very different flight - buffeted by the winds, struggling to make progress and engaging in a lot of circular shearing. Both appeared to be pale juveniles (always a treat as they’re so rarely encountered), nearly white head and underparts, heavily barred under and uppertail, two fingers of white on outer primaries, round looking central rects. PAJA upper right in both photos.
