Observation details
Small sparrow with a proportionately longer tail than the VESP it associated briefly with. Very flighty and hard to pin down, but my impression was a plainly marked bird with a gray nape. No obvious eyeline like chipping, light brown upperparts and plain grayish underneath. Seen briefly in the same area as VESP, about here: 32.841393, -117.070768. Extremely poor photos.
