Observation details
Today started perching above the NW box of Trellis B block, the regular perch point of last season individuals. Was preening heavily for first 15 mins. started with the tail feathers, nibbing the outermost from base till the tip and then switched to rump feathers. Crop seems bulged, probably finished with early morning kill or ate from yesterday's cache, not showing any signs of flying. As it started sleeping, visitors galored. First a Three-stiped Palm Squirrel peeped in from the parapet wall of terrace, followed by a House Crow 5 mins later which disturbed thr Falcon's sleep. As the Crow flew, a Pigeon landed just next to the Peregrine on the same perch just a metre away. Both looked at each other surprisingly for a minute and then the Pigeon shifted in to the box below. Falcon bended down to take a look which finally flushed the Pigeon. Some more preening followed by mantling & a good shake to dust off loose feathers. Tested the wind once with open wings, which is usually followed by a take-off but settled again for a slumber, closed yellow tinged eyelids were clearly visible. Even with closed eyelids, it used to turn the head all sides actively as if looking around. After about 20 mins of inactivity, stretched both the wings & feet with a talon brush and flew over to the SE box. Went well inside the box and started sleeping again.
