Observation details
This guy looks like a hybrid Black-headed and Rose-breasted. Photos attached. At one of our seed feeders, and first noticed bird had what we felt was too much white on legs and lower belly. When he turned, we saw the rose splotch. But looking at Sibley, he or she doesn’t seem to be fully Rose-breasted, and definitely not fully Black-headed. Looks very much like the hybrid illustration is Sibley’s. Which is he?
