Observation details
Continuing alley-oop mega by Tony Kurz and Lucas Brug. After arriving, I split west and EO worked the edge north where he relocated the yellowlegs flock at 41.8394399, -124.1883390 where the bird was refound with 7 Greater Yellowlegs. In comparison to Greater Yellowlegs, this Tringa looked paler and and had a cleaner white edge on the ventral side of the neck that continued down into an all white belly. The face was noticeably pale and contrasted with peripheral dark gray head and neck plumage. The bill was noticeably thicker with a subtle upward bend and had a nice bluish-gray color following the darker tip. The greenshank was very active, eating flies and three-spined sticklebacks while intently charging about. It continued foraging when we left at 14:00.
