Observation details
Never seen this species at this site in 30 years. Mostly hanging out in isolated Sitka Spruce. Very hot day. Slow flapping weakish flight that lost altitude quickly. Long gray tail, gray back and wings, white breast and throat, Dark gray cap with whiteish/cream forehead face, short black beak. Harsh call, also a whistling sort of call, like a lazy cardinal. Merlin recording of the latter which it confirmed as a Canada Jay call.
