Observation details
Seen very briefly as it flew, mostly obstructed by foliage, up high in a sycamore. Could not see any color. It called several times, giving the common "PIT-Tuck" 2-note call, initially at the NW edge of the western-most large lawn at ~8:05 AM. It moved a bit to the eastern side of the western-most lawn, still calling occasionally, and I heard it once again as I was returning to my car a little before 9 AM. I recorded the distant call on my smart-phone (still learning how to use it) using the Recorder app, but it was a pain getting the audio file downloaded to my laptop. I could not see a way to attach this audio file to a Gmail msg to myself - only Photos or Videos were obvious options. I finally tried Sharing the Recorder file with myself, sending it to my Google Drive from where I could download it to my laptop. After getting a local copy of the audio file, I had to convert it from the Pixel 6A format of ".m4a" to the eBird preferred format ".mp3". The Windows VLC Media Player has a conversion option (Media->Convert/Save->etc) that worked for me. But the mp3 sound level was barely audible, so I jacked up the volume 10 decibels with the mp3louder.com online tool. The sound level was still quite faint, so I boosted the audio another 10 decibels. Of course background noises were also boosted, but at least the SUTA call is recognizable.
