Media notes
First photo records of this species from Howrah, in ebird India.
Observation details
1. At first it jumped from the ground to the horizontal bamboo pole with a caterpillar. Was busy in eating, while I managed some distant shots for record. 2. I wasn't sure if Common Cuckoo or Indian Cuckoo. So I started playing audio. It responded to the third call in the Merlin app, which is also used by Asian Koel. 3. I went there to have close shot. Shortly after it flew away. Waited there concealing myself. It came back and started foraging at the same place. Unfortunately didn't have the "ideal" view of the whole bird. Nevertheless, happy with to contribute to the first photo records of this species from Howrah, in ebird India. 4. Discussion related to the confirmation: 5. Now, I am interested if it was just passing-by or it stays. Since that place is full of সজনেগাছ and thousands of caterpillars on those barks.
