Observation details
Will check photos. No dark axillars in flight. Foraging w BBPL. Fine bill, bold white supercilium, light golden wash in some areas. Wings longer than tail. Cap darker. EDIT/Addition after reviewing photos: Spotted a small group of Pluvialis plovers in SW corner of main “pond” near dike. Very light golden wash on some of the birds, more noticeable on rump. Darker cap with striking white supercilium (bright enough that my birding-adjacent spouse commented on it). Fine bill. Long primary projection, tertials falling short of tail tip (see photo). More AMGP than BBPL, so size comparison was challenging. Overall darker than BBPL foraging with them. Fortunately, my spouse called out when they flew, and I could see that they were overall darker than the BBPL but no dark axillars.
