Media notes
Bird seen bringing material to nest (EAKI first observed visiting this crotch multiple times on 9 Jun).
Observation details
Perhaps more than this. 1 apparent pair seen above the rocky draw. Another pair in vicinity of suspected nest in the Russian-olive noted on 9 June, with 1 bird carrying material to the nest and placing it, confirming my suspicion. Also a (different?) pair seen several times in the vicinity of streamside alder downstream (100 m? - very rough estimate, after the fact) of the Russian-olive. One of these two seen briefly with grass in its beak, then gathering spider silk (in hover-flight) from dead Brassicaceae flower stalks and returning to the streamside alder. Given this behavior, it seems highly likely that there are 2 pairs below the diversion dam; however, on my return I only saw the "alder" pair and did not see the "Russian-olive" pair, so I hesitate. I was not able to locate a nest in the alder clump.
