Observation details
First seen poking heads up, then more of body seen and occasionally opening wings while feeding in tall grass far to east side near the water area. Usually a few or more would pop up, up to 11 seen in some photos, then 13 seen in flight later. They tended to pop up more when the Harriers flushed the shorebirds and ducks and eventually after repeated bouts of that they flew off and left the area. I was there for quite a while after they left and they did not return.
