Observation details
Long description in my field notes of a bird that was mostly OK for an immature Little Blue Heron but lacked any dark on the primary tips. Many observers felt this was a Little Blue (it was here 16 and 17 Jan), but my reservations were expressed as follows in my field notes: "I don't believe this bird was a 'pure' Little Blue Heron because it lacked dark pigment on the primary tips (and perhaps also because of the extensive olive-yellow in the lores and orbital ring). However, the bill was extensively gray and thicker than a Snowy bill and the leg/foot color was wrong for Snowy -- no foot/tarsus contrast even on the anterior side.
