Observation details
One present on new pool. On arrival heard a Tringa call which did not quite fir redshank or greenshank. But did not see the bird, 15mins later the call again and Lesser Yellowlegs lands in view. Slender Tringa with bright yellow legs, thin dark bill, small pale lores. Dark eye with pale eye ring that was not complete at the front of the eye. Head grey with white streaking breaking it up, over all head and onto top part of breast. Mantle and back spangled (suggests a juvenile). Underparts clean and bright white. Long primary projection beyond tail. Tail bared, white rump. In flight legs clearly trailing behind.
