Observation details
Warbler zeets with a level frequency and a vertical saw-tooth pattern are very likely to be Yellow Warblers in August and September at this location. Other non-rising zeet candidates such as Connecticut, Blackpoll, and Cerulean are extremely rare in Texas in fall. Others such as Bay-breasted and Blackburnian tend to have larger hump separations and tooth shapes. Magnolia tends be longer and have distinctly shaped teeth. Worm-eating is the most similar and tends to be high and rising – zeets fitting these criteria have not been lumped here. That being said a very few non-Yellow could be in this “Yellow Warbler-like zeet” bin.
