Observation details
Continuing bird found by Jim Royer. Silent. I saw a bright flash of yellow as it flew down to a shrub adjacent to the pump house for the golf course at the corner of Pecho Willows. The bird was brighter than I was expecting. And definitely looked small. I wasn’t able to get a picture before it flew up to the tall bottlebrush at the back of the house. It’s in flew up to the electrical wire. it was next to some house finches. It barely looked larger than the house finch. I saw the long pointed bill slightly down curved. Darker wings with wing bars. Olive yellow back. Slight dark line through eye. Pics.
