Observation details
Pretty interesting - an immature bird kept chasing a Pileated Woodpecker at the edge of Billings Farm, calling as well. For a good 20 minutes they would come and go in from the woods, and the Pileated at first seemed nonplussed by the whole thing, considering it was larger than the SSHA. After a while the Pileated seemed to get annoyed, and a few times attempted to whack the incoming SSHA with its bill. The SSHA once made contact with talons on the back of the Pileated. A few Blue Jays were in the area, and all the smaller songbirds were dead quiet the entire time
