Observation details
Continuing since it was found earlier today by Don Roberson near the Crespi Pond bathrooms. This afternoon we saw it multiple times on the chainlink fencing on the border of the golf course and the US Fisheries & Marine Life building with ocean life murals, and then we saw it especially well eating berries in a bush right along Lighthouse Avenue. Large kingbird with thick bill, gray head, black eyeline, brown mantle and tail, greenish-yellow undersides. Sometimes chased by a Black Phoebe. Photos.
