Observation details
Always exciting, though this bird was exclusively heard only. Apparently came in to mob tape around (40.3356899, -75.1772014) without me noticing and uttered its distinctive "scwhep" call a 3-4 times, of which I was thankfully able to record the last call note it made before disappearing. I tried to get a look but the bird unfortunately never cooperated and never showed itself. Habitat was fairly atypical for this species based on my understanding of their habitat and where I have reliably found them in recent years. This bird was found in an area primarily consisting of multiflora rose understory within a closed deciduous canopy, as opposed to the weedy, overgrown field edges and wetland margins that I generally search for and find them in. New Bucks County bird.
