I was looking for Indian Pitta, while I spotted this by chance. It was roosting without any activity, on a branch near to the ground. It flew away once or twice when I tried to get closer, but let me take photos and stayed in the area for at least 15 mins.
Observation details
1. I was looking for Indian Pitta, while I spotted this by chance. It was roosting without any activity, on a branch near to the ground (~2meters above the ground). It flew away once or twice when I tried to get closer, but let me take photos and stayed in the area for at least 15 mins. 2. I think it might be an Indian Cuckoo, as I heard its song in this area (also, bigger than Plaintive Cuckoo). 3. Thanks for the confirmation: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bird.ids.of.the.indian.subcontinent/permalink/1047867126652994 & Reviewer Sandip Das.
