Observation details
Standing on the lower walking gravel path on the northside of landfill with Larry Trachtenberg , David Chernack and Sean Carroll . We all stopped as we heard distant calls from over the landfill. As it got closer I was able to make out the distinct bubbly flight calls of an upland sandpiper clear enough to be confident and call out the ID, and was able to get on a shorebird flying west over the landfill towards the Hudson. Was able to get some poor shots . Will put up back of camera shots until I can get on computer later tonight .
