Observation details
RARE - Incredible find by Daimon!!! Lifer and county lifer for me!!! What struck out to me was the long dark tail, orange belly, and tail wagging though not as much as an eastern phoebe. The bird was decently sized, slightly larger than an eastern phoebe. It was very busy feeding so it kept flying off to different poles and fences but it always stayed within the perimeters of the landfill. We gave it a ton of space and it didn’t seem to be bothered by us. Thank you to Pat Horan, Richard Aracil, and Kristin Schaumburg who helped relocate the bird. BX REPPIN
